Tickets are FREE but spaces are limited.
We’ll be making some exciting announcements 🤫and hosting a fantastic array of guest speakers.
The list includes (but is not limited to):
- Dr Emily Herrett from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, on the OpenPROMPT project
- Also from LSHTM, Dr Viyaasan Mahalingasivam and Prof Dorothea Nitsch on the need for better data to understand renal failure in people with COVID-19
- Dr Miriam Samuel from Queen Mary University of London on weight gain during the COVID-19 pandemic
- Bennett’s own Dr Will Hulme on target trial emulation for evaluating COVID-19 vaccine effectiveness
On day 2 we’ll have some practical, hands-on workshops to help you get the most out of OpenSAFELY. You’ll get the chance to learn how to write better code, create a codelist, and work with dummy data.
All of this, and loads more. Honestly it’s going to be fascinating, and fun at the same time. What more could you ask for at a work event?
A reminder, should we need to give you one, that OpenSAFELY is an award-winning secure platform for conducting research with electronic health records of 58 million patients.
It’s the largest, the most productive, and the cheapest platform of its kind in the NHS. We’re very proud of everything that the research community has achieved with it - but there’s so much more to do, and so much more that can be done.
Come and join us in November to find out more, to see why OpenSAFELY has been so useful for others, and to talk to our amazing team. If you’ve used OpenSAFELY before, come along and ask us all your difficult technical questions. If you’ve not, come along and discover what all the fuss is about, and be inspired to try it out.
