Seb Bacon, Chief Technology Officer at the Bennett Institute, has been made the first-ever Professor of Practice at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences. Come and join him for his inaugural lecture “On The Record: why every use of health data should leave a public trace”.

Despite Seb’s new title as Professor of Practice in Research Software Engineering, this is definitely not just for software engineers! It’s an accessible talk for anyone interested in how data, technology and public institutions can work better, particularly in health. It’ll be a journey through open source, digital democracy, your health data, stalking scandals, and sewage. It’s free and it’s going to be great fun.

It’s at the Grove Auditorium, Magdalen College, Oxford on 4 June, 17:00–18:00 with tasty canapés and drinks afterwards.
